Arlene G Navarro

Owner/Psychotherapist
ReStory Counseling Service

Biography

Arlene completed her Master of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary in 2007. Desiring a more comprehensive and integrated clinical training, she earned her Certificate for Advanced Professional Counseling from Biblical Theological Seminary, now Missio Seminary. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice and has been a psychotherapist for 15 years. She has over 25 years of pastoral care ministry experience, including being on staff at Redeemer Counseling Services in New York and Liberti Church in Philadelphia. She helped create 2200 Arch Counseling Services and ReStory Counseling Services in Philadelphia. Before becoming a psychotherapist, she worked in advertising and marketing for two decades. She found herself in the mental health field today out of her passion for human behavior and philosophy and learning (still learning) what it means to be human. Her immigrant story inspires her to listen and pay close attention to people’s stories and find the beauty of God in the woundedness and healing of our own stories. She is a foodie and loves music, poetry, arts, and culture. Arlene finds solace in poetry reading and long hikes with her rescue dog. She is an active member of Resurrection Philadelphia.
