In accordance with the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Missio Seminary has gratefully received $22,822.00. Missio intends to distribute more than half of these funds to federal aid-eligible students in efforts to relieve the economic strain caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

In order to be eligible for a portion of the granted funds, students must have a 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with Missio. Students that have already submitted a FAFSA and are attending courses in Fall 2020 will automatically be considered for the grant. If a student has not yet submitted a FAFSA, (s)he may do so at fafsa.ed.gov. Once a student has submitted a FAFSA, (s)he should notify Jermaine Harrington, the Financial Aid Coordinator, by emailing Jharrington@missio.edu with a subject containing “CARES Act.” The grant will be distributed at the discretion of the Financial Aid Office within 10 days of eligibility review.

Note: Missio Seminary has signed and submitted the Certification and Agreement to the Department of Education in compliance with CARES Act guidelines.
