3rd Grant Funds Received
In accordance with the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA), Missio Seminary has gratefully received $65,813. Missio intends to distribute all of these funds along with all leftover funds from the 2nd Grant Funds to students showing financial need. These funds are for students in efforts to relieve the economic strain caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
In order to be eligible for a portion of the granted funds, students must complete the HEERF application provided here on the website. Please complete the application fully to be considered.
2nd Grant Funds Received
In accordance with the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA), Missio Seminary has gratefully received $22,822. Missio intends to distribute all of these funds to students showing financial need. These funds are for students in efforts to relieve the economic strain caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Students who were eligible for the 1st Grant Funds were awarded a 2nd grant in the exact same amount as the first Grant.
1st Grant Funds Received
In accordance with the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Missio Seminary has gratefully received $22,822.00. Missio intends to distribute more than half of these funds to federal aid-eligible students in efforts to relieve the economic strain caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
In order to be eligible for a portion of the granted funds, students must have a 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with Missio. Students that have already submitted a FAFSA and are attending courses in Fall 2020 will automatically be considered for the grant. If a student has not yet submitted a FAFSA, (s)he may do so at fafsa.ed.gov. Once a student has submitted a FAFSA, (s)he should notify Jermaine Harrington, the Financial Aid Coordinator, by emailing Jharrington@missio.edu with a subject containing “CARES Act.” The grant will be distributed at the discretion of the Financial Aid Office within 10 days of eligibility review.
Note: Missio Seminary has signed and submitted the Certification and Agreement to the Department of Education in compliance with CARES Act guidelines.
