Steps to Apply for Financial Aid
Step 1: Apply to Missio and Gain Acceptance
Prospective students must submit their applications to our admissions department before their financial aid eligibility will be reviewed.
Step 2: Complete the Missio Grant Application
Our grant program is available to assist students who demonstrate financial need and are enrolled in a degree program with at least eighteen credit hours per year.
Step 3: Complete the FAFSA & Start Using the Virtual Financial Aid Office
Missio participates in the Williams D. Ford Direct Student Loan program. Missio’s school code is G23230. All student loans, including interest, must be repaid in full.
Step 4: Notification of Awards
The Financial Aid office at Missio will receive an electronic copy of your FAFSA information from the Department of Education. Your information will be reviewed. An award notification letter will be issued and mailed to you.
The entire process can take up to 4-6 weeks.
Step 5: Confirm Your Payment Plan
Prior to registering for classes, you must submit your payment plan (including your financial aid package) to the Business Office.
Step 6: Re-Apply for Aid Each Academic Year
Missio Financial Aid is awarded on a yearly basis. A new application must be submitted each year beginning at the following months:
- May for the fall semester
- September for the spring semester
You must complete the Missio Grant Form and reapply through the FAFSA website.
