The African American community has been instrumental in the life and growth of Missio Seminary since the very beginning. From the early days of the school, to the launch of the urban program, to the move into the city of Philadelphia, the contributions of Black students, professors and board members have long shaped and influenced the mission of the seminary. In celebration of Black History month and the school’s 50th anniversary, we will highlight some of these contributions, discuss the present state of the seminary and where we go from here.
