2021 Korean Missional Conference
The Korean community is an integral part of Missio Seminary’s history and future, and we praise God for their vital involvement in our 50th anniversary celebration. In this webinar spoken in Korean, Rev. Lee highlights the importance of missional churches becoming engaged in the local community. He suggests practical ways for the men and women of the church to invest their gifts and talents in the neighborhood for community impact. His church (필라 초대교회) offers a Korean language school, various seminars (i.e. parenting seminars), operates a flower shop, and distributes lunch bags to the homeless. Rev. Lee has noticed that it is possible for pastors to serve and lead church congregants without involvement in the surrounding community and he feels this is a missed opportunity. The question that church leaders and pastors must ask is: would the nearby residents of your church notice if your church was gone?
